PHILOSOPHY
Each child is special and unique. Each child deserves to feel good about themselves. Our well-rounded curriculum creates opportunities for every child to accomplish this.
Our teaching goals include the following:
Contribute positively toward a child’s self-image.
Guide a child positively in their social development.
Provide meaningful experiences in creative thinking.
Provide life skills necessary for cognitive learning.
Provide an atmosphere of “calm involvement” where children can feel safe and secure for learning.
Offer adult guidance that is friendly, warm, loving, firm, and consistent.
Follow clearly stated curriculum goals that we evaluated monthly.
Deal with problems professionally, holding parent-teacher conferences as needed.
Treat everything, including discipline issues, as a learning experience for the children.
Help each child learn about their relationships with others and the world around them.
Encourage each child to assume responsibility for their actions and personal possessions.
Vision:
We envision a preschool community where children develop a lifelong love of learning through play, creativity, and connection. By partnering with families, offering enriching experiences such as music with Mrs. Mandy and chapel time with Vicar David, and providing consistent care in a warm, welcoming environment, we strive to help each child build a strong foundation for school and life.
Mission:
Our mission is to provide a nurturing, play-based learning environment where children ages 18 months to 6 years feel safe, valued, and inspired to grow. With over 61 years of service to our community, we support the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively—through developmentally appropriate play, music, and meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, kindness, and confidence.
